Welcome to my site.

As long as I can remember I wanted to write but life got in the way, so here I am creating a site to take the place of the book that was never written.
I will use this space to share stories from my life, photos, events and some recipes.

Why recipes you ask? because my Ima (Mom in Hebrew) had some terrific ones and it would be fun to resurrect them.
My Aba (Dad in Hebrew) had a small photography shop in Tel Aviv back in the 1950s: Photo Zimmerman, hence the name of my site.

Some of my fondest memories are sitting on the floor of the shop, sharing hummus with my younger sister surrounded by the odor of developers and fixers mingled with the smell of tobacco that emanated from my father’s darkroom.

Maybe I should create a page for “scents from my childhood”?
Well this is the beginning of my site, let’s see where it takes me…
